Our Purpose

HomeWorks Premium Thrift serves two main purposes. First is to receive donations and prepare them for sale. Second is to advance the Kingdom of Christ and the gospel with those who do not know it. As a Christian Thrift Store we support other organizations in the community by providing affordable household goods to customers.

With additional funds, HomeWorks will support nonprofit Christian ministries who are actively involved in spreading the gospel.

How We Got Started

HomeWorks Ministries, Inc. was founded in 2004 as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization by Dan & Mary Galaska after being led by the Lord to do so.  We are a Christian non-profit - operating and guided by the principles of Christ.

Meet the couple who founded HomeWorks back in 2004. After 20 years of business, they are still doing the Lord's work, and being a light in the community. They work as a team to present you with the best of products and memorable experiences. Please stop by the store and meet them yourself.

The Story of HomeWorks Premium Thrift

Starting a new business can be uncertain, risky, and challenging. Dan found himself in the computer industry in 2000 and when the dot com bubble burst, he was left jobless within a month. In discerning what God wanted him to do next Dan believed God was leading him to open HomeWorks Ministries. For this reason Dan tells everyone that he and Mary are not the owners of this store but instead are the managers of God's store.

Dan Galaska

“As it states in the Bible, when the Israelites came back to rebuild the wall around Jerusalem it took many hands to do that. It was not just one person. Although HomeWorks is not a wall, we are a light in the community. It would be impossible for us to be the light in the community without all of the volunteers and the staff that have helped us over these many years so we are truly grateful for them"
